We freshened our design up for 24/25!
If you’re someone who gets worried when your tools change their designs, never fear! These changes are small and it should take you less than a minute to get…
Common Curriculum is now Common Planner. Same team, same mission, new name. We couldn’t be more excited to share this with you! Ahh! 🍾

Don’t worry! Nothing about your account or planbooks changes. In the next few weeks, we’ll be automatically moving everyone over to our new spiffy domain name: commonplanner.com.
Nothing! Just keep signing in where you sign in and we’ll make sure you’re on the right page. Your login, planbooks, and everything else stay exactly the same.
The only optional step: If you have bookmarks or class websites, you can change them to www.commonplanner.com but if you don’t, that’s okay! We’ll take care of moving them automatically.
Our old name didn’t quite capture what our product really is. At our core, we help teachers plan and stay organized, so they can have more time to do all the other parts to get ready for the lesson.
But, the main reason was our old name was just sooo confusing. We don’t make curriculum, and we’re not the Common Core. Plus, do you know how many times we’ve misspelled our own name? Way too many. We’re a lesson and unit planner, not a curriculum provider. Now, when you tell colleagues about this cool tool you use, you won’t get those confused looks anymore.
Of all the names, why did we choose to switch to Common Planner? First, it was available. That was important. Second, we wanted something that felt the same, but more accurate. So, we kept the “Common” and changed “Curriculum” to “Planner”.
No. Your email and password stays the same and your data is safe.
Yes. Existing links and bookmarks will continue to work. We’re gradually moving everything over to the new domain and adding redirects where needed.
No. Plans, pricing, and billing details are unchanged.
Nothing breaks. If you use links in docs, LMS, bookmarks, or class websites they’ll keep working.
If anything seems off, or if you try to use www.commonplanner.com and it’s blocked, email us at support@commonplanner.com and we’ll jump on it.
If you manage a school or district account, here are a few optional housekeeping items:
We’re so excited about this next chapter with you! We will keep spiffing up the site and supporting teachers and admins just like we always have. We’re building stuff that makes your day easier, planning faster, and working with your team smoother.
Thanks so much for being part of our community. We’re so excited to continue this journey with you as Common Planner. 💕
