CommonCurriculum is AMAZING!!! I recommend you to all my colleagues who ask about plan books as well as homeschool parents looking for a way to organize their lessons. I teach students individually, so I use CC differently than many. One of the best things I love about CC is that I always have past lessons available to review. Sometimes I don't remember specifics about a lesson, so I have gotten in the habit of adding an extra card for after-lesson notes to help me remember important things that happened during the lesson, unexpected problems, questions that occurred to me during the lesson, or what I want to do next. It's easy to go back and review these before every lesson to remind myself of a student's specific needs even if it's been several weeks since I last saw the student. All of this detail filled binders when I tried to do it on paper. I also use the lesson plan template to help me plan and cut down on paper. Since every student follows a different curriculum based on their own needs, it really doesn't help me to use the long term planner. Instead, I create a different template for each student. Within the template, I add the current goals and general steps to meet them. Every week I go back and cross out completed steps. Because it's on the template, it shows up for every class. Makes planning a breeze! I have a list of concepts to review (the crossed-off items) and a prepared list to show where we're going next. I've been using CC for years now and I wouldn't change.

The templates are very organized. Using the templates takes some of the guess work out when writing lesson plans. I also love the standards being there to see and to compare when needed. I also love the ability to share lesson plans as needed with colleagues.

I love the calendar for homeschool planning. I've already sent it to my group at the start of each year. The "bump" feature is the best. The layout is fun and easy to use. I only wish there was a check list to show those things that are done.

Just using the free account has made my planning simpler and more effective.

I LOVE the flexibility that it offers! In math I am constantly adjusting my lessons and Common Curriculum allows me to easily push and pull back my lessons. This layout is SOO easy to use! I really like that things are color coded. I can choose to look at just the day or the week, even the month if I want. Common Curriculum is incredibly useful. I teach 7 grades across 3 different buildings, and with tons of differentiation required in the first few grades (and a little still required at later grades). This tool helps me stay organized, plan ahead and connect content without being overwhelmed (which is huge for the job that I have). I wanted to let you know that I have spent my snow day working with the Common Curriculum planner, and I LOVE IT!!! I have always had a hard time with planning (usually just jotting down ideas on paper), but this program is flexible enough to work with my jotting and then allowing me to go back and flesh out ideas

I REALLY like the Common Curriculum program. It fast, easy to use, very versatile, and has lots of features that I have been looking for.

Common Curriculum has been a tremendous asset to my planning and preparing. Once you get the hang of it, it makes life a lot easier. Would highly recommend it to other teachers!

I was shocked to find this FREE tool that is incredibly user friendly. One of the features I love so much is the chat helper (user faqs) tab. I had a question about the site's ability to perform a certain task, and was pleasantly surprised to have one of your co-workers send an email response explaining the process for accomplishing my request as well as offering to complete that specific task for me and record a video of himself performing the task so that I'd have access for future reference. Fantastic Customer Service!!!

I LOVE it! Actually, I showed it to my grade level partner and she is just as excited as I am. We are going to start using it to plan our lessons as well as map out the entire school year next year. This really is such an amazing resource!

Other programs I've tried have such a learning curve that it's been easier to continue typing plans out in Word.

It's so easy to have my lesson plans wherever I am. I love that I do not have to erase and re-write if there are snow days or plans change at the last minute. I can just copy and paste and move to the next day.
