Creating Classes

  1. While setting up your planbook, you will be taken to this screen with an "Add" button. Click "Add" to begin adding classes to your planbook.

Shows the screen where you will add your classes

2. You now have two options for the type of class you will be adding. "I write lesson plans for this" or "I do not write plans for this"

There are a bunch of things that you might want to add to your weekly schedule that aren't really classes, but that you still want to see while you plan. Things like "Lunch" or "Coach Class" fall into the "I do not write plans for this" category.

3. Type the name of the class and select a color for the class. If you wish, you can input times now or later.

Shows what customizing your class looks like including naming your class, choosing a color for your class, and whether or not you want to add times to your class.

4. Click "Done" at the bottom of the screen, and congratulations you've added your first class!

To continue adding more classes, just repeat these steps until you've added all of your classes!

Setting up a Semester Class

We recommend setting up semester classes by creating two different planbooks one planbook for Semester 1 and a second planbook for Semester 2. If you teach mostly year-long classes with one or two semester classes, you can simply turn off one of your semester classes in the "Adjust Class Schedule" screen of the planbook menu. Just remember to turn it back on at the end of the year so that you can copy those lessons to your next planbook!
