Environmental Impact of Human Activity: Environmentally literate students construct and apply understanding of the environmental impact of human activities on Earth’s systems and resources.6-8.3
Human impacts are cumulative and can develop over time into environmental problems which can interact on a local or global scale to affect the Earth’s systems and sustainability. Changes in human behavior at local levels can minimize, mitigate, and often remediate human impact.
